Moving Checklist (Local + International)
A quick guide to packing, inventory, and exporting lists, including a customs-friendly CSV.
Before you pack
- Create locations, such as Current home, Storage, and New home.
- Decide on a labeling system with box number + room.
- Separate essentials and important documents.
Local move
- Prioritize which box goes to which room.
- Take 1 wide photo and 1 to 2 close-ups per box.
- Export the simple moving CSV to share with helpers.
International move
- Use the customs CSV and fill value, weight, and origin when needed.
- Flag items with batteries, aerosols, or liquids.
- Keep receipts for high-value items.
How to use Box Itemizer
- Open Box Itemizer from Inventory or Locations.
- Upload 1 to 6 photos, or take a photo inside the modal.
- Edit the list and export CSV.
- Choose whether to add items to Inventory or a Location.
